Leaders of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions visit the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Dong Nai province.

(Dong Nai) - On July 18th, Tran Thanh Hoa, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, led a delegation to visit and exchange views with Venerable Thich Hue Khai, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Dong Nai province, and other monks and nuns at the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Dong Nai province (Tran Bien ward).

Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Tran Thanh Hoa, acknowledged the contributions of Venerable Thich Hue Khai and other monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in Dong Nai province in effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements, maintaining security and order, and organizing social welfare activities. He also expressed his hope that in the future, Venerable Thich Hue Khai and other monks and nuns will continue to participate in, propagate, and encourage followers to actively contribute to building their homeland and effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State.

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province, Venerable Thich Hue Khai stated that monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in Dong Nai always adhere to the motto "Buddhism - Nation - Socialism," and the spirit of "Buddhism accompanying the nation," thus Dong Nai Buddhism has strived and made contributions to the province's development.

In particular, 2025 is a time when the country will witness many significant events and is the first year of implementing the two-tiered local government model. In line with the country's transformation, monks and nuns are committed to and encourage their followers to comply with and trust the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State. At the same time, Dong Nai Buddhism is organizing activities to express gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries and to commemorate heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country…

Out of a total population of 4.42 million in Dong Nai province, nearly 2.5 million are religious followers, with over 1 million being Buddhists.
