The most important item is the completion of the installation and testing of equipment in the air traffic control cabin located on the 21st floor of the air traffic control tower at Long Thanh Airport. Currently, the entire air traffic control system has been installed, fine-tuned, and tested to serve technical flights as well as future commercial operations. The screens, flight data processing systems, communication equipment, radios, audio and video recorders, control panels, meteorological display systems, etc., are all lit up and operating stably through multiple rounds of testing. These are modern and advanced systems, meeting all requirements and standards. The team of technicians is on constant standby, reviewing every detail such as signal delay, sensitivity, and the ability to respond to all situations.
In addition, the primary/secondary radar system, ADS-B, meteorological system, and ground surveillance cameras are operating stably. Data is continuously checked using independent tests. A high-capacity UPS system and two backup generators are in place; the automatic power switching process has been tested numerous times. The TETRA system, in coordination with ACV, has been fully integrated into the network; the emergency communication channel has been successfully tested in 100% of scenarios; and the technical team is on standby 24/7.
Due to its critical importance, the Long Thanh Airport air traffic control tower is equipped with its own backup power and network system, and specialized equipment with the most stringent requirements.

To ensure absolute safety for both technical and official flights, the Southern Air Traffic Control Company mobilized the most experienced personnel from
the Ho Chi Minh Long-Range Approach Control Center (ACC Ho Chi Minh) and the Tan Son Nhat Airport Approach Control Center (APP Tan Son Nhat) to support operations at Long Thanh Airport. Over the past two months, Long Thanh air traffic controllers have received training according to the standards of the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority, including: theory of the Tan Son Nhat - Long Thanh airspace; full SIM simulation practice; on-the-job training (OJT) at the Long Thanh air traffic control tower; safety assessment for each new flight procedure; and risk identification during the initial mixed operation phase. As a result, 100% of the controllers are now qualified to directly manage air traffic at Long Thanh Airport.
Simultaneously, the Southern Air Traffic Management Company has chaired and participated in comprehensive drills with the Southern Aviation Authority, the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), and airlines. Air traffic control scenarios, ranging from simple to complex, including plans for handling unusual and emergency situations at the airport, have been thoroughly practiced. Field inspections of the taxiway and apron systems have also been completed, ensuring synchronization.
