Dong Nai provides support to people in Van Canh commune, Gia Lai province after typhoon No. 15.

(Dong Nai) - On the morning of December 13th, the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, organized a visit and presented gifts to support people in Van Canh commune, Gia Lai province, who were severely affected by recent storms and floods.

At the headquarters of the Van Canh Commune People's Committee, the delegation handed over 400 cash assistance packages, each worth 1 million VND, to households affected by Typhoon No. 15. In addition, each household also received a box of drinking water donated by the Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross, helping them stabilize their lives in the short term.

According to local authorities, in late November and early December 2025, due to the impact of Typhoon No. 15, prolonged heavy rains caused flooding and landslides in many areas of Van Canh commune. Hundreds of households were left in difficult circumstances, with many houses, crops, livestock, and property damaged.

The timely support from the Dong Nai provincial delegation not only helped people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster, but also demonstrated a spirit of sharing and community responsibility towards those affected by the disaster.

Van Canh commune is the starting point in the relief program for the Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam, initiated by the working group. This initiative aims to further spread the spirit of mutual support and solidarity, helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
