The situation of dogs running free without muzzles continues to cause serious consequences.
On the evening of December 7, a 4-year-old girl was attacked by a strange dog, causing serious facial injuries while playing in the square area of Phuoc Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
The accident happened when the little girl was playing when suddenly a strange dog, weighing about 15kg, rushed forward and attacked fiercely. The incident happened so quickly that the people around did not have time to react. The little girl was scratched and bitten, causing deep cuts to her eyes, nose and chin.
After the accident, the family immediately transferred the child from Ba Ria Hospital to Children's Hospital 1 for intensive treatment and rabies vaccination. The child's health is currently stable. It is worth noting that after causing the accident, the dog ran away and the dog's owner has not yet been identified.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Phuc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, said that this was a very unfortunate incident for the family, the locality as well as the social community. Through this incident, the locality directed the sectors, especially the children's playgrounds, to further strengthen management work. For the victim's family, after the incident, the authorities still kept in contact with the family. During the treatment process, the commune leaders directed the medical force to coordinate with the family to find the best treatment for the child. In addition, they directed the police force and related sectors, especially the hamlets, to access the camera and find the dog's owner to handle it according to regulations.
Authorities are urgently searching for the harmful animals. This is also a warning lesson for pet owners to comply with the law and ensure community safety./.
