The reason is that Dong Nai province is affected by the northeast monsoon, which is active with moderate to strong intensity. The continental cold high-pressure system is weakening and moving eastward, while the low-pressure trough with its axis at approximately 4-7 degrees North latitude is tending to shift southward and weaken. At higher altitudes, the subtropical high-pressure system with its axis over the central region is weakening and gradually retreating eastward; by December 17th and 18th, it will be weakly strengthened again, shifting eastward. The easterly wind disturbance at high altitudes is temporarily weakening but is expected to become strong again around December 16th and 17th.
The subtropical high-pressure system at high altitudes is gradually shifting southward and tending to weaken, withdrawing eastward on December 17th and 18th. Northeast winds will be strong from December 13th to 16th, then gradually decrease.
Given these developments, the weather in Dong Nai remains dry and humid; there is a chilly feeling at night and early morning, with strong sunshine during the day, which can easily affect health.
Regarding hydrology, the water level of the Dong Nai River in the upper reaches, other rivers and streams, and in Tri An Lake changes slowly. At the Phu Hiep station, the water level of the La Nga River is regulated by the Da Mi - Ham Thuan reservoir. In Bien Hoa, downstream of the Dong Nai River, the highest water level occurred on December 18th (1.77m).
