Each person a brick of filial piety

Sharing about the meaning of filial piety, Venerable Thich Gia Quang said that each person should together lay a brick of filial piety to build a filial and loving society. So that when looking back, each person can be proud that: We have lived a life of gratitude and gratitude in the tradition of a nation that values loyalty and love.

Vu Lan is not only a religious ceremony, but also a reminder for each of us to return to the source of love, to the incomparable deep gratitude of our parents.

At the same time, it is also an opportunity to arouse gratitude to the Fatherland, compatriots, and those who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

"Some people think that filial piety must wait until their parents are old and weak, but in fact filial piety does not wait until tomorrow.

Filial piety is not just about taking care of parents when they are old, we can show our gratitude to our parents through practical actions such as: taking care, listening, spending time with our parents, living morally, doing good deeds, contributing to building a good society," said Venerable Thich Gia Quang.

The monk said that in Buddhist teachings, filial piety is not only limited to the love between parents and children, but is also extended to the Four Great Graces:

- Parents' grace - the root of all filial piety.

- Gratitude to the three treasures of the teacher - gratitude for education and guidance.

- National and social gratitude - gratitude to those who sacrificed for the country.

- Gratitude for all living beings - grateful for the mutual support of all living beings in life.
