The Department of Culture and Sports shall preside over and coordinate the assessment of the current status of display and protection of antiquities at museums and relics in the area, and report to the City People's Committee before June 12, 2025.
Regarding the handling of damaged treasures, on May 30, the Hue City People's Committee established a Council to assess the situation and propose a plan to preserve and restore the Nguyen Dynasty Throne. The Council, including representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hue City People's Committee and scientists , met on June 1, 2025 to develop a plan to submit to the Ministry for consideration and decision.
Hue City also directed the completion of detailed protection plans for each national treasure in June 2025, while investing in modern technology such as warning sensors, virtual fences, security monitoring systems, etc. to ensure absolute safety of the heritage.
The Center requires its affiliated units to review and adjust protection plans, increase patrols, security controls, check door locking systems, cameras, and coordinate with local authorities and police forces to ensure safety for relic sites.
“At the same time, the center also focuses on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue, protection of artifacts, antiques, national treasures, and inspection of electrical systems to prevent fires and explosions,” the Center Director emphasized.
