Allowing the use of the place name to register the collective trademark of OCOP product "Tan Yen guava bud tea"

BAC GIANG - The People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued a decision allowing the use of the place name "Tan Yen" to register the collective trademark "Tan Yen guava bud tea" and confirm on the map the geographical area corresponding to the collective trademark "Tan Yen guava bud tea".

Specifically, allowing Quyen Phong Agricultural Cooperative, Hoa Son residential group, Cao Thuong town (Tan Yen) to use the place name Tan Yen on the collective trademark "Tan Yen guava bud tea" and confirm on the map of the geographical area corresponding to the collective trademark "Tan Yen guava bud tea".

Tan Yen guava bud tea products meet 3-star OCOP standards.

The Provincial People's Committee requests Quyen Phong Agricultural Cooperative to be responsible for developing regulations on management and use of collective trademarks according to the provisions of law; organizing the management of the use of the place name "Tan Yen" on the trademark sample according to the provisions of the Law on Intellectual Property and current regulations.

Quyen Phong Agricultural Cooperative has 98 households participating in the linkage to build production and business of Tan Yen guava and Tan Yen guava tea according to the value chain in Cao Thuong town, Tan Yen district, with a linkage scale of about 80 hectares. The Cooperative's Tan Yen guava products have been recognized as achieving 4-star OCOP, and Tan Yen guava tea has achieved 3-star OCOP.

Registering the collective trademark "Tan Yen guava bud tea" helps Quyen Phong Cooperative build its brand and improve the quality of OCOP products.
