The working group inspected the Tuyen Lam National Tourist Area, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat and the planted forest area of Tan Mai Paper Group Joint Stock Company in Hiep Thanh Commune.

Through the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of forest owners in recent times, especially in the work of forest management, protection, prevention and fire fighting.
Comrade Le Trong Yen requested forest owners to proactively arrange forces and means in key areas with high risk of fire; forest rangers to closely coordinate with localities to promptly detect and handle fire spots; at the same time, develop and effectively implement forest fire prevention and fighting plans in the dry season of 2025 - 2026.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the forest rangers to strengthen coordination and support forest owners and localities to effectively manage and protect forests, and prevent complicated incidents that cause damage to forest resources.

According to the report of Lam Dong Provincial Forest Protection Department, the whole province currently has more than 1.31 million hectares of forestry land, accounting for 54.28% of the natural area; of which, the forest land area is more than 1.16 million hectares, the coverage rate is 46.72%. In the area, there are 4 national parks, 3 special-use forest management boards, 23 protection forest management boards, 17 state-owned forestry companies and many other forest owners assigned and leased forests for management, protection combined with production and business.

The forestry sector has implemented synchronous solutions to protect existing forest areas, strictly control the conversion of forest use purposes and strictly handle violations of the Forestry Law. The goal in 2025 is to reduce the forest area and volume of damaged forest products by 20% or more compared to 2024; at the same time, maintain the forest cover rate of over 46.7% according to Resolution 340/NQ-HDND of the province.
