Ho Chi Minh City: State budget revenue in 2025 is estimated to reach nearly 749 trillion VND

Total state budget revenue in Ho Chi Minh City is estimated to be 748,438 billion VND in 2025, reaching 111.4% of the central government's estimate.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just submitted a report to the City People's Council on the assessment of state budget revenue in the area; estimated city budget revenue and expenditure for the whole year of 2025 and the estimate for 2026; and the 3-year state budget - financial plan for 2026-2028.

Accordingly, the total state budget revenue in the city is estimated to be 748,438 billion VND for the whole year of 2025, reaching 111.4% (748,438 billion VND/671,570 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the Central Government; reaching 107.3% (748,438 billion VND/697,395 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and equal to 109.6% (748,438 billion VND/682,758 billion VND) compared to the same period.

The total budget revenue of Ho Chi Minh City according to the estimated decentralization for the whole year of 2025 is 334,180 billion VND, estimated at 187.4% (334,180 billion VND/178,280 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the Central Government, estimated at 123.1% (334,180 billion VND/271,390 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and equal to 102.7% (334,180 billion VND/325,288 billion VND) over the same period. This revenue is estimated to increase compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council by 62,790 billion VND (334,180 billion VND compared to 271,390 billion VND).

The estimated revenue from domestic budget revenue for the whole year of 2025 is 214,422 billion VND, reaching 131.5% (214,422 billion VND/163,073 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the Central Government, reaching 117.3% (214,422 billion VND/182,774 billion VND) compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and equal to 128.9% (214,422 billion VND/166,305 billion VND) compared to the same period. This revenue is estimated to increase compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council by 31,648 billion VND (214,422 billion VND compared to 182,774 billion VND).

Regarding budget expenditure, the total estimated local budget expenditure for the whole year of 2025 is more than 258,549 billion VND, reaching 132.2% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, estimated at 89.6% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and equal to 147.4% over the same period. This expenditure level is estimated to decrease compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council by more than 30,105,773 billion VND.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also proposed that the City People's Council consider and approve the State budget revenue estimate for 2026 of more than VND 804,775 billion.
