Assessing the current state of Vietnam's supporting industries, identifying opportunities and challenges in global supply chains, and making recommendations to increase localization rates and develop sustainable supporting industries are key topics of interest for businesses at the Exhibition - Forum on Supporting Industries and the Supply Chain Connection Conference 2025, currently being held in Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event attracted thousands of domestic and foreign businesses, with the expectation of opening up new opportunities for cooperation between domestic and FDI enterprises, connecting production units with industrial parks, and offering advanced technological solutions.
Mr. Vo Son Dien, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Supporting Industries Association, said that this event is organized according to a "3-in-1" model. It serves as both an exhibition space for businesses to promote their products and solutions to both domestic and FDI sectors, and a conference connecting supply and demand. Through this, suppliers have the opportunity to directly access strategic buyers as well as businesses in industrial parks.
According to Mr. Dao The Son, Vice Chairman of the Tan Uyen Young Entrepreneurs Association, this is an important opportunity for members of the Young Entrepreneurs Association to strengthen connections and mutual understanding. The event opens up new cooperation opportunities, creating momentum for member businesses to seek opportunities to expand into the international market.

Businesses participating in the exhibition
Numerous new-generation free trade agreements and multinational corporations' push to diversify supply chains, shift investments, and seek high-quality suppliers are opening up tremendous opportunities for Vietnamese businesses.
Commenting on the market, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dang Khoa from SMC Precision Company, Ho Chi Minh City, believes that Vietnamese businesses hold a significant advantage in attracting orders from markets such as the US, UK, EU, and the wave of Japanese businesses relocating production from China to Vietnam. He believes that the coming period will be a favorable "golden time" for the domestic supply chain to break through and develop.
Sharing his views on solutions to enhance competitiveness, Associate Professor Phan Dang Tuat, Chairman of the Vietnam Supporting Industries Association, said that the Association has proposed collaborative initiatives such as "joint purchasing and joint selling." This model helps maximize production capacity, minimize investment costs, and create synergistic strength for the business community.
Experts recommend that businesses should focus on investing in R&D and upgrading machinery and equipment to improve product quality and value, meet domestic demand, replace imported goods, and participate in global supply chains.
