Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2025 and Shopping Seasons: Binh Duong Mega Sale opened on the evening of December 3, opening a series of activities to stimulate shopping and tourism at the end of the year.

On the evening of December 3, at the WTC International Exhibition Center ( Binh Duong Ward), the opening ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2025 and Shopping Seasons : Binh Duong Mega Sale officially took place, opening the largest shopping and tourism activities at the end of the year. The event aims to promote the image of a dynamic and expanded Ho Chi Minh City, connecting the modern industrial and commercial ecosystem, while stimulating domestic and international consumption, creating momentum for sustainable economic growth.

Not only is it a large-scale promotional program, the event also creates a space for trade, tourism, culture and entertainment to intersect; contributing to portraying a new face of Ho Chi Minh City, modern, creative and full of vitality.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City , emphasized: The industrial, trade and service sectors continue to play a key role, accounting for about 50% of the GRDP of the new Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, in the context of Ho Chi Minh City aiming for double-digit growth in many economic indicators, close coordination between trade and tourism becomes mandatory, in order to create diverse products and services that can strongly attract domestic and international visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong emphasized that this is the first time the two departments have coordinated to organize a joint program at the new post-merger ward location of Ho Chi Minh City, opening a long-term connection roadmap between localities in the region.

Along with that, the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Tourism are coordinating with relevant departments and sectors to build shopping routes and points associated with culture, cuisine, health care and improve travel conditions to enhance the experience for tourists.

From the perspective of the coordinating organization, Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, said: The event was implemented to create a preferential shopping space, while accompanying the goal of the entire tourism industry in 2025 to welcome 8.5 million international visitors, 40 million domestic visitors, with revenue of 290,000 billion VND.

Ms. Cam Tu emphasized that tourism is a comprehensive economic sector, so programs linking with the fields of industry and trade, culture - sports, science - technology play an important role in expanding service value, enriching experiences and enhancing the attractiveness of Ho Chi Minh City to tourists.

In the coming time, the Department of Tourism and the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to maintain the Shopping Season following the city's typical festival season, creating opportunities for international visitors to experience the event and increase spending.

The second phase of the Shopping Season promotion program takes place from November 15 to December 31, 2025, with a series of deep discounts of up to 80%, supporting businesses to stimulate peak demand at the end of the year. In particular, the "City Sale" branded promotion event - phase 2 in 2025 is a highlight, expanded to Binh Duong and Vung Tau areas, contributing to spreading the attraction of shopping and tourism throughout the region.
