In the first five months of 2026 alone, registered FDI capital reached over $1.3 billion, a 3.6-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
Many large projects have chosen Phu Tho as their destination, such as the nearly $500 million electronics manufacturing expansion project by BYD Electronics and the $500 million electronic circuit manufacturing project by Meiko Electronics. Currently, the province has more than 41,000 operating businesses along with 742 FDI projects from 27 countries and territories.
Notably, in 2025, Phu Tho province rose to the top 5 localities with the best economic governance quality in the country, according to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The province is also implementing a "green channel" mechanism to resolve administrative procedures within 24 hours and maintaining the "Businessmen's Coffee" model every Friday morning to directly address difficulties for businesses and investors.
