Through a survey of the project to urgently overcome landslides on the Tien River in the area of ​​the Thuong Thoi Tien anti-erosion embankment (Thuong Phuoc commune), the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of the sectors in the urgent landslide remediation work.

At the same time, the construction unit is required to re-evaluate the impact of the flow on the route; choose a safe construction method; and the relevant authorities need to prohibit heavy vehicles from circulating through the area.

This project is about 1,100 m long, and is in the process of dropping sandbags to reinforce the embankment to prevent further landslides at the points where landslides have occurred. The progress of sand volume has reached 21%.

For the Emergency Project to overcome landslides on Tien River bank at Nguyen Huong Street (Cao Lanh Ward), the embankment length is more than 518 m, the embankment surface is 5.5 m wide, with a total cost of 166 billion VND.

The project is filling the eroded hole with sandbags to prevent the landslide from continuing to encroach deeper inside and affecting Nguyen Huong Street.

Through a field survey, comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu requested the construction unit to speed up the implementation of the urgent project to overcome landslides on the Tien River bank.

Through the survey, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to choose feasible options, save budget and avoid the risk of landslides; at the same time, speed up the project's construction progress.

Along with that, Cao Lanh Ward People's Committee reviewed the land fund and proposed the province to build a residential area to arrange stable housing for households affected by landslides and take care of their lives.
