At the conference, delegates listened to the leaders of the People's Council of the commune present a report on the expected structure, composition and number of candidates for the People's Council of the commune for the new term. Accordingly, the People's Council of the commune for the 2026-2031 term is expected to have 21 candidates; the total number of candidates is 36. The conference also approved a number of provisions of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies in 2025.
At the conference, delegates also focused on discussing the number and proportion of candidates, the suitability of the structure by field; and giving opinions on adjusting the names of some structural groups in accordance with the provisions of the newly amended Election Law in 2025.
Next, the delegates voted, 100% of the delegates attending (13/13 people) unanimously approved the contents on the structure, composition and number of candidates for the People's Council delegates for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Concluding the conference, comrade Huynh Thanh Trieu highly appreciated the seriousness and responsibility of the delegates, and emphasized the importance of consultation work in ensuring democracy and compliance with the law, contributing to preparing personnel for the new term of the Commune People's Council. He requested organizations, agencies and units to continue to follow the correct procedures and deploy the second step of consultation work in the coming time.
