Lien Binh Phat is the first Vietnamese actor to win the Golden Bell Award.

The actor, who won for the Taiwanese film "The Foreigner," shared his gratitude and intention to contribute to vulnerable immigrant groups like the character he plays.

On the evening of October 18 in Taiwan (China), Lien Binh Phat won the Golden Bell Award, Best Actor category, becoming the first Vietnamese actor to make his mark at this prestigious award.

He won with the film “The Outlaw Doctor” ( The Outlaw Doctor ) , playing a Vietnamese doctor who, due to circumstances, had to live illegally in a foreign land.

After the victory, Lien Binh Phat thanked his team, who accompanied him and helped him gain valuable lessons in his career. He also said that he would contribute part of the prize to the fund for migrant workers in Taiwan.

The Golden Bell Awards is the largest television and music award in Taiwan, considered the Asian version of the Emmy Awards (US).

Winning the “Best Actor” category, Lien Binh Phat surpassed four other competitors, including veteran actor Kha Thuc Nguyen from the film “A Rong and a Yu.” The award is a recognition of the actor’s acting talent.

Lien Binh Phat was born in 1990 in Kien Giang , possessing a masculine cinematic beauty and an emotional acting style. He acted in many films, but became famous thanks to the film "Song Lang." Lien Binh Phat also participated in many TV game shows, the most notable of which recently was "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai."

In 2025, Lien Binh Phat will have 3 film projects released at the same time. After “Hoa ngoai chi y,” he will continue to appear in the main role of “Bay tien” - a film revolving around online fraud (expected to be shown on November 24) and “Quan Ky Nam” - a lyrical, gentle film set in the 1980s in Ho Chi Minh City (expected to be shown on November 28)./.
