From online brokerage to service platform BrightNest

Anyone who comes from the province to Ho Chi Minh City has had to look for a place to stay at least once or twice. It is hard to move and clean each time, but it is not certain that you will be able to rent a satisfactory room.

Tuyet Mai said she is still haunted and tired every time she looks for a house to rent. There is fake news, there is a lack of transparency in brokers who present one picture and another, not to mention the complicated procedures.

Because of her resentment, the girl decided to create BrightNest as a brokerage company.   house rental by technology

Clear goal: transparent information, prices, commissions... with the target segment being students and young people because they have a regular need to find rental housing.

BrightNest authenticates real estate information according to strict procedures, to prevent the situation of multiple people renting out a property at the same time to steal the deposit.

The fear of having to run around to see the room was overcome by Mai and her colleagues developing virtual home viewing technology (VR360 degrees) integrated into BrightNest. Tenants can visit the house space visually and save maximum time and effort compared to going to see it directly.

24/7 AI chatbot answers user questions anytime, anywhere. Both of these are considered outstanding features that help BrightNest increase safety and transparency for renters.

In response to the real need, Mai focused on developing the "safe room sharing" feature. The feature operates based on detailed criteria declared by users and then uses an algorithm to select suitable roommates.

BrightNest acts as an intermediary, drafting contracts to ensure the rights of both parties when using this feature. It can be said that BrightNest is developing towards a full-service package in real estate brokerage and rental.

That means the platform supports all consulting, contract drafting, document printing, resident card registration, vehicle card, fingerprint access... BrightNest is also focusing on building an ecosystem of additional services such as internet installation, cleaning, and moving.

Completely free for users

After 7 months of brainstorming and coding, BrightNest officially launched on AppStore and CHPlay in early March this year. Starting a business while still a student, Mai and her colleagues faced many difficulties in terms of capital, underlying technology, source data, customers...

There were times when the group had to save every thousand to pool all their capital, then borrow from relatives to build the foundation. Mai said that as a young, unknown startup, the lack of quality apartments and partners was also a difficulty that needed to be overcome.

"To get by, BrightNest has set up a team to search for and convince reputable homeowners, and at the same time, connect with trusted real estate partners to expand its product portfolio sustainably," Mai said about the early days of operation.

And after nearly half a year of launching, BrightNest is now receiving many positive signals. BrightNest's registration process for tenants is quite simple and completely free.

Users download this application, register an account to start searching, viewing houses via VR360° technology and connecting with landlords. The number of tenants registering information on BrightNest is also increasing.

"For BrightNest, it's not just a number, but proof that our model is helping to solve the worries of tenants and even landlords, bringing peace of mind and convenience to both parties," Mai smiled.

Apartment rental company, why not?

The short-term goal is for BrightNest to expand to apartment complexes throughout Ho Chi Minh City, especially in areas where tenants have high demand for searching and renting.

BrightNest's vision for the next 5 years is to become the leading apartment rental company in Ho Chi Minh City. This means continuing to upgrade technology, personalize with AI, integrate deeper services in the ecosystem and expand the area of operation.
