At the 60th Golden Bell Awards ceremony in Taiwan (China) which took place on the evening of October 18 (Vietnam time), Vietnamese actor Lien Binh Phat was officially crowned the Best Actor for his role as Dr. Pham Van Ninh in the film "The Outlaw Doctor".
This is the first time a Vietnamese actor has been nominated and won this award.
The movie “The Outlaw Doctor” tells the journey of talented doctor Pham Van Ninh, a Vietnamese doctor in Taiwan (China), alongside Chinese female doctor Trinh Uyen Binh (played by famous actress Truong Quan Ninh).
The film was broadcast on Vietnam's K+ channel in March, with very high viewership ratings.
Lien Binh Phat became famous after the hit project "Song Lang" by director Leon Quang Le, which tells the story of a strange encounter between a male singer of a reformed opera troupe in a context where many art forms are gradually facing fierce competition and fading away.
He is considered a new and unique face of Vietnamese cinema. After “Song Lang”, he was invited to participate in a number of television and film projects such as “The Heiress”, “Butterfly House”, “Crazy Dark”, “Descendants of the Sun”, “No Way Out”…
Lien Binh Phat also participated in many entertainment and reality TV shows, the most prominent of which was “Anh trai vu ngan cong gai”, where he showed another artistic side of himself, his singing and dancing talent. Currently, Lien Binh Phat also has his own Youtube channel to post his favorite songs and sing them again.
2025 marked the success of Lien Binh Phat after the end of the program “Anh trai vu ngan cong gai”. Not only was he loved and won awards with “The Outlaw Doctor”, Lien Binh Phat also returned to the silver screen with “Quan Ky Nam” and “Bay tien”, two movies released in November.
“Quan Ky Nam” is a film in which Lien Binh Phat reunites with the director Leon Quang Le, with the participation of veteran actress Do Thi Hai Yen. The film is set in Ho Chi Minh City in the 80s, was screened at many major film festivals such as Busan, Toronto and received many compliments from audiences as well as international critics.
