Sharing at the event, Choreographer Tuyet Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, said: “Hand in hand” is a dance associated with the brand of Vietnam Dance Week. Two years ago, at Vietnam Dance Week 2023, the first version of the community dance “Hand in hand” was performed by hundreds of dancers, choreographers, and actors of many generations with the aim of creating a simple dance but with a strong influence on the public, affirming the beauty and connectivity of Vietnamese dance art.
At that time, this dance created a big wave of influence in the dance artist community, with many short videos (3-5 minutes) of the dance associations and artists participating in the competition. Many videos not only showed the beauty of dance art but also contributed to promoting the beauty of scenic spots, regional and ethnic cultural heritages, and were awarded by the Organizing Committee.

Entering 2025, in order to develop new versions of the dance "Hand in Hand", and at the same time, affirm the companionship of Vietnamese dance art with the development and integration of the country, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association has made the video of the Popular Dance "Hand in Hand - Shining the Future" in a direction closer to the youth, expressing the beauty of more types of dance, combining folk dance, European classical, contemporary, hip-hop, neo-classical, Broadway...
With the song "Hand in Hand", the video takes viewers to many lands across the country, from the northern mountainous region to the central region, the Central Highlands, the South, exploring the culture of the Tay, Mong, Dao, Thai, Khmer ethnic groups..., witnessing the development of the country in modern urban spaces such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh..., admiring the beauty of famous heritages...
The video brings together the participation of many talented young artists who have won high prizes at national professional dance competitions, and are currently young actors, choreographers, and coaches who are actively contributing to major art programs such as: Vu Hue, Quang Viet, Quang Anh, Quang Dat, Ha Trang, Van Quang, Thien An, Sinh Quan, Hoai Linh, Minh Hai, Yen Nhi, Hieu Lam.

According to the program to promote the popular dance “Hand in hand”, right after the release of the video “Hand in hand - Shining the future”, 38 Vietnam Dance Artist Associations nationwide will launch the Video-Reels Challenge, calling on members, groups and individual dance artists nationwide to organize and record and make videos of the dance “Hand in hand” to compete online with a duration of less than 1 minute 30 seconds.
Participating videos must meet the following criteria: have unique images; convey content with high artistic efficiency; demonstrate performing talent and the beauty of dance art; promote local landscapes and tangible and intangible heritage; clearly demonstrate the spirit of national solidarity; have the participation of diverse ages and ethnicities in localities with many ethnic groups; and be highly interactive.
The videos will be posted by the Organizing Committee on the event's official fanpage and on social networks to connect with the public and spread the dance. The time to receive videos is from November 16 to December 16, 2025 at the email address vietnamdanceweek@gmail.com. The Organizing Committee plans to award the best videos on December 16, 2025.
This is also the core activity of Vietnam Dance Week 2025. The videos will provide additional materials to perfect the dance "Hand in Hand", contributing to realizing the idea of having a universal dance of Vietnam's own.

People's Artist Pham Anh Phuong, President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, shared that this is also the wish of many generations of Vietnamese dance artists: "We hope to be able to build a dance that is both familiar and has the power to spread so that everyone, from the elderly to the young, can participate, join in the joy and spirit of solidarity."
People's Artist Nguyen Ngoc Bich said that Vietnam still does not have an iconic dance like the Lam-vong of Laos or the Tango of Argentina. Therefore, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association is persistently pursuing the development of a national dance.
This is a long journey because creating a dance that is close and rich in national identity is a big challenge. However, the efforts of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association today are the first steps to reach a dance that symbolizes the spirit of solidarity and vitality of Vietnam.
