On the morning of October 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training and Competition Center and the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Car Federation signed a cooperation agreement to comprehensively develop Roller Sports in the city.

Since the 80s, Roller Sports, with its first form of roller skating with iron soles and rubber wheels, has really attracted young people from urban to rural Vietnam, creating a trend of practicing this youthful, modern form of exercise, full of conquest as well as expressing personal qualities.

Artistic roller skating and sport skating are becoming more and more popular among young people. Vietnamese ice skating even appeared at the Winter Asian Games, and bobsleigh athletes also competed in the Winter Olympic qualifying round.

With the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training and Competition Center and the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Car Federation, Roller Sports will certainly make stronger progress in the future, following the national direction and reaching the continental and international level.
The cooperation agreement aims to promote the strength and advantages of the Center and the Federation through key activities such as reviewing, training and fostering athletes and coaches in preparation for the 2026 National Sports Festival; at the same time, coordinate the organization of city-level, national and international sports tournaments, especially pre-Games tournaments.
The two sides will also cooperate to implement training programs for coaches, referees, and experts according to national and international standards, and at the same time act as a bridge connecting Roller Sports clubs in the area to develop the socialization movement and build a sustainable successor force.

Roller Sports has the potential and ability to compete internationally.
Mr. Ngo Quang Vinh - Vice President of Vietnam Skating and Roller Federation, President of Ho Chi Minh City Sports Car Federation - shared his feelings about the times of integration into the continental and world arenas, thereby adding confidence towards improving professional quality, strengthening forces to participate in international competitions and achieving specific achievements.
According to Mr. Ly Dai Nghia, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training and Competition Center, Roller Sports is an accessible and easy-to-practice sport, suitable for the qualities and physical condition of Vietnamese people. In recent times, the movement to practice this sport has developed strongly, especially among teenagers. Many parents know the benefits of this sport, so they let their children practice it a lot.
