139 teams participate in Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament 2025

On October 29, Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers coordinated with the Hanoi Basketball Federation to hold a press conference and draw lots to schedule the 19th Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament - Nestlé MILO Cup 2025.

Journalist Phan Viet Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, spoke.

This year's tournament attracted the participation of 139 teams, including 93 boys' teams and 46 girls' teams, from 100 primary schools in the capital.

Speaking at the press conference, journalist Phan Viet Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, said: This is an annual sports playground for primary school students, contributing to spreading the movement of "physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" in schools, while creating conditions to discover and nurture basketball talents for students.

The qualifying round of the tournament will take place on November 1, 2, 8 and 9 at four schools: Dich Vong B Primary School, Archimedes Academy Primary School, Ngo Quyen Primary School and Newton Goldmark Primary School.

The final round will be held on January 22 and 23 at Isaac Newton Primary School (Nghia Do Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi ). The organizing committee will select 16 male teams (15 excellent teams in the qualifying round and 1 special team) and 16 female teams (15 excellent teams and 1 special team) to enter the final round.

Continuing to accompany the students' passion for sports, Nestlé MILO brand actively supports the organization of the tournament, providing competition equipment and uniforms for the teams, along with nutritional drinks from barley sprouts to energize the young athletes.

Third Prize (2 male teams, 2 female teams): Flag, Bronze Medal and prize money;

Style Award (male, female): Cup, Flag and prize money;

Positive competitive spirit award: Flag and prize money;

Best athlete of the tournament (male, female): Flag and prize money.
