Inspecting the landslide area that has cut off traffic, isolating more than 450 households, with 1,700 people in 5 villages of Ngoc Linh commune including Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Xa Ua, Ngoc Lang and Tu Rang in recent days, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested Military Region 5 to urgently mobilize forces to coordinate with local authorities to open temporary roads, temporary bridges and fix landslides in the fastest time, soon connecting the isolated areas, ensuring safe travel for people, especially students to quickly get to school.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the urgent issue at hand is that functional forces and localities need to have a plan to provide adequate food, clean water, and essential necessities for people in isolated areas, ensuring that people do not go hungry or thirsty; arrange medical equipment, ensure medicine, and be ready to promptly respond to possible emergency situations.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested police and militia forces to be on duty 24/7 at serious landslide sites, warning and preventing people from crossing freely, even in favorable weather conditions.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister asked the authorities of Ngoc Linh commune to focus on calculating the damage, thereby promptly supporting people to restore production, especially prioritizing the provision of plant varieties, livestock and agricultural materials, helping people to soon stabilize their livelihoods after the natural disaster.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung took time to visit, give gifts, and share the hardships caused by natural disasters that people in the landslide area of Ngoc Linh commune are facing; hoping that people will soon overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize their lives.

According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngoc Linh Commune, Dinh Xuan Hoa, heavy rains in recent days have caused heavy damage to the locality, with an initial total estimated value of about 25 billion VND.
The most serious damage was to the traffic infrastructure, with all inter-village roads and production area roads in 22 villages suffering from landslides on the positive and negative slopes; concrete surfaces cracked and eroded in many locations; many roads were seriously damaged and impassable.

The most serious landslide occurred in Lang Moi village on October 28, causing the road from Lang Moi village to Ngoc Nang village to be broken for about 100m and 10m deep; many other locations had serious breaks and erosion, causing traffic disruption, isolating 5 villages: Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Xa Ua, Ngoc Lan and Tu Rang.
Up to now, the landslide locations have not been fixed.
