The emulation movement "For the poor - no one left behind" for the period 2021-2025 has been widely and synchronously deployed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, receiving the attention and leadership of Party committees, the coordination of authorities, organizations and the strong response of the people. With the consistent goal of creating livelihoods and jobs, the Fatherland Front at all levels has helped poor households escape poverty sustainably and gradually become rich.
Mr. Vu A Goc, H'Mong ethnic group, Huoi Tong village, Nam Ty commune said: His family is poor, his child is disabled, in October 2024, he received 20 million VND from the Fatherland Front Committee and help from the village association, relatives in terms of labor days to transport materials, and build a 60 m2 level 4 house. Previously, living in a temporary house was very difficult, not reassuring to work and produce.
In the 2019-2024 term alone, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Son La has mobilized more than 136 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 2,690 "Great Unity" houses, of which 2,648 were newly built and more than 42 were repaired... Thousands of poor, near-poor households, and policy families received social security support, medical examination and treatment, economic development, and support for their children to go to school. Every year, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Fatherland Front system at all levels and member organizations mobilized and donated more than 277,000 gifts, with a total value of nearly 132 billion VND, contributing to spreading the spirit of "the rich help the poor" in the community.
Ms. Hoang Thi Luong Tam, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province, said: The Standing Committee continues to direct socio-political organizations to coordinate with the Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards, and residential area front work committees to promote propaganda, mobilize, and support people to implement the province's socio-economic development policies and projects; encourage household economic development, increase income, and create sustainable jobs.
At the same time, focus on building and developing typical OCOP products, associated with tourism and services to preserve culture, expand consumption markets, improve product value and people's lives. Along with mobilizing resources, the Fatherland Front at all levels focuses on implementing inspection and supervision work in accordance with its functions and tasks. At the same time, the work of mobilizing, receiving and allocating support is carried out publicly, transparently and in accordance with regulations; contributions are strictly managed through the State Treasury; The list of households supported to remove temporary and dilapidated houses is publicly posted in residential areas, and direct support is provided to the people.
Ms. Ha Thi Kim Thu, Secretary of Gia Phu Commune Party Committee, said: In the commune, beneficiary households have used the funds for the right purposes and effectively. Many cases after receiving support have proactively invested, expanded production, and gradually escaped poverty sustainably. Organizations and individuals with positive contributions are recognized with "Golden Heart" certificates, thank you letters, and promptly commended and replicated. Along with poverty reduction work, the movement "Son La joins hands to build new rural areas" continues to be widely deployed by the Fatherland Front at all levels, associated with the Campaign for All People to Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas.
The front levels have selected specific, practical contents suitable to the conditions of each locality and focused on promoting the role of the people as the subject. Along with building many movements, typical models have been deployed and replicated, up to now Son La also has 18,532 self-management models in residential areas, creating a clear change in people's awareness and actions. In further discussion with the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, it is known that: In the period of 2021-2025, Son La people donated more than 169,000 m² of land, contributed millions of working days to expand and renew roads, build cultural houses, schools, and welfare works.
Many communes, villages and residential areas have changed their appearance, becoming more spacious and clean, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved.
