According to statistics from the Department of Home Affairs, in 2025, businesses will need to recruit nearly 120,000 workers, mainly unskilled and skilled workers, focusing on the electronics and garment industries. To meet this "thirst" for human resources, the provincial government, together with relevant organizations and units, have synchronously deployed solutions to connect and introduce jobs, from investment promotion to digital technology application, contributing to stabilizing production and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Ms. Hoang Thi Bich, born in 1995, in Luc Nam commune, used to work in an industrial park in Thai Nguyen province, but after getting married and having children, she wanted to find a job near home to take care of her family. Through the Bac Ninh Job Exchange fanpage and the "Vieclambacgiang" application, she accessed information about the online job exchange session organized by Bac Ninh Job Service Center No. 1.
Here, she received detailed advice about the position of electronic component assembly at Lens Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau Industrial Park). “I had an online interview right at the center, and within a week, I was scheduled to work with a starting salary of 8 million VND/month, with accommodation and transportation allowance. Without these official information channels, it would be difficult for me to access the opportunity so quickly,” said Ms. Bich.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of Bac Ninh Employment Service Center No. 1, emphasized the key role of digital transformation in improving the efficiency of connecting workers with businesses. He said: “Since 2020, we have signed memorandums of understanding with vocational schools such as the Industrial Technical College and the Vietnam-Korea Technology College in Bac Ninh, as well as large enterprises such as Foxconn. As a result, thousands of students have jobs right after graduation.
Since the beginning of 2025, the center has organized 48 job fairs, attracting more than 24,600 workers to participate, with more than 102,600 recruitment positions from 62 businesses. Using Zalo OA, website and fanpage helps workers in remote areas easily access information, avoiding the risk of fraud. These initiatives not only help reduce unemployment rates but also contribute to forecasting annual labor supply and demand, ensuring high-quality human resources for businesses.
As early as 2024, before the merger, the People's Committee of the old Bac Giang province issued a plan to support businesses in recruiting, requiring functional agencies to increase propaganda about job needs to workers inside and outside the province. After the merger, these activities were expanded in scale, according to Mr. Tran Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Bac Ninh province considers human resources the most valuable asset for sustainable development. Since then, the locality has coordinated with universities to introduce recruitment needs, while encouraging foreign language and skills training for students.
At the same time, the province has a policy of focusing on supporting workers from other provinces by reducing administrative procedures, providing information on salary and bonus policies, supporting travel and housing, helping tens of thousands of workers find jobs quickly. These solutions not only solve immediate needs but also build a long-term foundation for quality human resources. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Xuan, Director of Human Resources of Hong Hai Science and Technology Group, said that to attract workers, the company has adjusted its policy of raising the recruitment age from 18-35 to 18-40, increasing the basic salary to 5.5 million VND/month from March 2025, with a housing allowance of 500,000 VND, gasoline allowance of 300,000 VND and overtime bonus.
The scientific workshop “Current status of support and attraction of foreign workers to meet the requirements of industrial development” organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Bac Ninh in September 2025 summarized and proposed solutions. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Chuc, Director of the Institute of Vietnam and World Economics, said: “Bac Ninh has 25,000 enterprises, attracting 782,000 workers, of which 380,000 workers are from other provinces (48.6%).
Foreign workers contribute greatly to growth, but the province needs to improve social housing, welfare and skills training to retain them.” The workshop also proposed training links between vocational schools and businesses, strict management of 29 labor supply units, and increased propaganda via social networks. Thanks to the implementation of synchronous solutions in job introduction since the beginning of 2025, the number of workers in the province has increased to 342,000 people, with an average income of 8 million VND/month, higher than in foreign-invested enterprises (8-12 million VND).
However, in reality, there are still challenges and difficulties such as competition from neighboring provinces and increasing housing demand... To overcome these challenges, Bac Ninh province needs to continue investing in social housing and vocational training, businesses must ensure jobs and livelihoods, and the government also needs to support the province to become an attractive destination for workers. With drastic steps in attracting workers, Bac Ninh not only meets industrial needs but also contributes to reducing unemployment and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
