Quang Ngai continues to invest in building dormitories for students of specialized schools.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang inspected the construction of the dormitory at Le Khiet High School for the Gifted.

According to the Quang Ngai Province Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), the construction of dormitories and essential items at Le Khiet High School for the Gifted (phase 2) has a total investment of 60 billion VND.

The scale includes the construction of a new 4-storey dormitory and dining hall, with a total floor area of approximately 2,270m², with a total investment of nearly 13 billion VND. Of which, there are 30 fully equipped rooms, providing accommodation and living for 180 students.

In addition to the construction of dormitories and dining halls, the project also includes renovation items for the auditorium with a total floor area of about 1,050 square meters; internal roads and yards; gate fences; water supply and drainage systems; power supply systems; toilets for the physical education area; dormitory parking lots; security houses and dormitory management offices; wastewater treatment and fire prevention and fighting systems.

Up to this point, the construction of the new dormitory at Le Khiet High School for the Gifted has completed 95% of the workload.

After nearly 7 months of construction, the completed volume of the package is estimated to reach 85% of the contract value. Of which, the dormitory block has completed 95% of the work volume; the hall renovation item has completed 90% of the work volume.

Currently, the investor requires construction units to speed up progress, striving to complete the project before December 31.

After inspecting this project, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated the investor and contractor for having a scientific and reasonable construction plan, so the project progress is guaranteed according to the signed contract.

The construction of dormitories at Le Khiet High School for the Gifted helps students from far away, especially those in mountainous areas, have a place to eat and rest, and study with peace of mind.

“Le Khiet High School for the Gifted is a place to train high-quality human resources in Quang Ngai province. In particular, students studying at this school come from different regions in the province, especially students from mountainous areas. Therefore, the construction of dormitories and essential items is extremely necessary and meaningful, helping students from far away have a place to eat, rest and a good learning environment, contributing to meeting the standards of specialized high schools in improving the quality of education”, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized.

The head of the Quang Ngai provincial government requested the Quang Ngai Provincial Project Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction Investment, which is the investor of many projects without many problems with the site, to review and urge contractors to speed up construction progress, striving to be the leading unit in the province in disbursing public investment capital in 2025, with the disbursed capital reaching 100%, at least reaching more than 90%.

It is known that in the 2017-2018 school year, Quang Ngai province also invested in and put into use a dormitory block at Le Khiet High School for the Gifted (phase 1), ensuring accommodation and meals for 240 students.
