Petrovietnam's affection: Persistently accompanying and sharing with those in difficult circumstances

'Petrovietnam's love' is not just a slogan - it is an action, a heart, a thread connecting people under the common roof of Petrovietnam.

During half a century of construction and development, the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group ( Petrovietnam ) has not only affirmed its pivotal role in ensuring national energy security but also persistently accompanied and shared with compatriots facing difficulties due to natural disasters, the poor, and the disadvantaged across the country.

With the position of the country's leading enterprise, a "national" enterprise for the national interest, Petrovietnam always considers accompanying and sharing with compatriots facing difficulties due to natural disasters, the poor, and the disadvantaged as its responsibility and obligation. That spirit is institutionalized through long-term social security programs, internal mobilization mechanisms of the Group and its member units, ensuring that every penny of support goes to the right people, to the right needs, and creates a sustainable effect.

From spacious Great Unity houses, sturdy bridges, scholarships to help people go to school, to community health programs, emergency support in natural disasters, Petrovietnam is always present with responsibility and heart, strongly responding to the "For the poor" movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, localities and organizations.

Over the years, Petrovietnam and its member units have maintained many community programs nationwide such as: Supporting classrooms and medical stations in remote areas; granting scholarships and learning equipment; sponsoring medical examination and treatment, clean water; supporting livelihoods for poor and near-poor households... Petrovietnam's social security projects contribute to reducing multidimensional poverty, narrowing regional disparities, and improving the quality of local human resources.

The year 2025 takes place in a context where many localities across the country have been continuously suffering from serious natural disasters. In particular, the recent storms No. 10 and 11 have caused heavy damage to provinces and cities in the Northern and Central regions. In this situation, Petrovietnam has proactively launched a fundraising campaign from employees across the Group by organizing an extra day in early November. This is also an opportunity for each Petrovietnam employee to demonstrate their social responsibility from the value of their own labor. The extra money will be transferred to the Group's Petroleum Mutual Assistance Fund for proper use, for the right people, contributing to timely support, helping people quickly stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

At the same time, the Group's support team immediately deployed activities to directly visit, encourage and support people who are suffering from the effects of the floods. Petrovietnam has spent 70 billion VND along with tens of thousands of gifts and necessities to help people in the Northern and North Central provinces overcome the consequences of the recent storms and floods.

In Hanoi, Petrovietnam has joined hands with the authorities at all levels to organize many activities to help people overcome the consequences of the recent storms and floods. At the same time, Petrovietnam, through specific and practical actions, has provided livelihoods, created social security, helped the poor in the capital have a better life and the opportunity to change their lives, contributing to realizing the goals of building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction in the city.

For many years, the Group has spent tens of billions of VND each year to contribute, support, and accompany the people of Hanoi in various social security programs in health, education, culture, Covid-19 prevention, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, especially the "For the poor" support and donation programs. To date, Petrovietnam has spent nearly 130 billion VND on social security activities in the city.

Most recently, at the program "Joining hands for the poor and social security in 2025" organized by the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city, Petrovietnam promptly responded and supported the program with 10 billion VND. This is the heart, affection, and sharing of nearly 60,000 Petrovietnam employees towards the difficult lives, not leaving anyone behind. At the same time, this is not only an activity to support immediate resources, but also a long-term commitment of the Group to accompany Hanoi in particular, and localities across the country in general in the goal of reducing multidimensional poverty, improving the quality of life of people, contributing to building a rich, civilized and modern country.

In the past 5 years, with its affection and responsibility, Petrovietnam has spent nearly 5,600 billion VND on social security activities, affirming that Petrovietnam is not only a good business enterprise, but also from good business results has created resources to fulfill its responsibility to the community and the people.

Entering the new phase, Petrovietnam continues to accompany the "For the poor" programs, social security programs, prioritizing difficult areas, border areas, and remote islands. The Group and its member units will continue to coordinate to survey the actual needs in each locality, expand livelihood support models, have many diverse and practical social security activities, connect businesses with localities, promote social security projects in the direction of "giving fishing rods rather than giving fish", helping people in difficulty to rise up.

Through these meaningful activities, the entire Group's staff and employees will continue to participate in volunteer activities, spreading the spirit of mutual love - one of the core values ​​that make up the identity of Petrovietnam people in the new era.
