Faced with the complicated developments of storm Kalmaegi, which is likely to directly affect the Truong Sa archipelago, Brigade 146 (Naval Region 4) has proactively and synchronously deployed storm prevention and control plans, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles.

By the afternoon of November 4, more than 300 fishing boats with over 3,000 fishermen had been guided to take shelter from the storm at islands with harbors in Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, Da Tay...

The islands have provided over 20,000 liters of fresh water, many essential supplies and temporary accommodation for fishermen on the island during the storm. The forces regularly visit, encourage and help people stabilize their spirits, feel secure to take shelter and together overcome the storm safely.

On the islands, officers, soldiers and forces are closely coordinating with the people, reinforcing houses, tying down vehicles, moving people and property to safe places; strictly maintaining duty regime, regularly updating and issuing notices on weather and storm situations; at the same time, increasing support for fishermen by providing food, fresh water, medical care, ensuring a stable life in conditions where storms may last for a long time.

Rescue forces and vehicles are always ready to mobilize in emergency situations, not to be passive or surprised.

At the same time, Brigade 146 also coordinated with border guards on the islands to unify response plans, promptly calling on ships to take shelter in safe places, making an important contribution to ensuring the safety of lives and property of people and fishermen, and maintaining peace in the stormy places of the Fatherland.
