Dong Ngac Ward launched the peak month "For the poor" and social security 2025

HNP - On November 4, Dong Ngac ward held a launching ceremony for the Peak Month "For the Poor" and social security in 2025. Attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Ngac Ward Party Committee Duong Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hach and leaders of the Ward People's Committee.

Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ngac Ward Nguyen Thanh Nhan said that recently, the work of caring for the poor and supporting people in difficult circumstances in Dong Ngac Ward has achieved many encouraging results. Since the beginning of the year, the ward has supported families in difficult circumstances with gifts worth 156 million VND; supported medical examination and treatment with 25 million VND; supported students in difficult circumstances with 35 million VND to go to school. These results have contributed significantly to the work of sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, and strengthening the great solidarity of the people in the ward.

After the establishment of the ward, the Fund for the Poor was opened an account at the treasury by the Ward Fatherland Front Committee for management. The amount of money received, handed over and transferred to the treasury was more than 372 million VND; mobilized from July 1, 2025 to date was more than 315 million VND. The ward has established a Committee for Mobilizing and Managing the Fund for the Poor, strictly managing the fund, using it for the right purpose, for the right subjects according to regulations.

After a period of propaganda and mobilizing people to join hands to support provinces affected by storms No. 10 and 11, the amount transferred to the City Fatherland Front Committee was 567 million VND; transferred to the Ward Fatherland Front Committee was 725 million VND. Based on the receipt from the People, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee contacted the Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Khanh Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, one of the communes deeply flooded and heavily damaged, to donate 250 million VND. In the coming time, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee will continue to transfer the remaining amount to the City Fatherland Front Committee and affected localities.

Accordingly, the peak month "For the poor and social security" of Dong Ngac ward in 2025 was launched from October 17 to November 18, 2025.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ngac Ward Nguyen Thanh Nhan called on agencies, units, enterprises, philanthropists, and all cadres, party members and people to share, actively respond and support the Fund "For the Poor", the ward's social security programs in many practical forms such as supporting in cash, in kind, supporting jobs and livelihoods for households in difficult circumstances, caring for and sponsoring poor but studious students.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hach said that in Dong Ngac Ward, although people's lives are increasingly improved, there are still a number of near-poor households, newly escaped-poverty households, lonely elderly people, people with disabilities, unemployed workers... who need the attention and support of the community and the government. Therefore, the Standing Committee of Dong Ngac Ward Party Committee determined that the work of caring for the poor and implementing social security policies is not only the responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front or the government, but also the responsibility of the entire political system, each cadre, party member and each citizen of Dong Ngac.

In order for the movement to be practically effective, the Standing Committee of the Dong Ngac Ward Party Committee proposed that Party cell committees, residential groups, political and social organizations strengthen propaganda and mobilize cadres, party members, union members and people of all walks of life about the meaning of the work "For the poor".

The Ward People's Committee closely coordinates with the Ward Fatherland Front Committee in receiving, managing and allocating support sources, ensuring publicity, transparency, correct objects and purposes. The Ward Fatherland Front continues to promote its central role in gathering, uniting and mobilizing the people, being a reliable bridge between the Party, the government and the people; being the core force in organizing activities to support and care for the poor.

Departments, branches and organizations need to concretize the movement with practical models and activities: mobilizing support for the "For the Poor" Fund, helping to repair houses, providing livelihoods, giving Tet gifts, supporting students in difficult circumstances, etc. Each organization needs to have at least one project or social security work to contribute to the common goal of the ward.

Businesses, organizations and individuals promote the spirit of social responsibility, actively participate in supporting in many flexible forms - money, goods, vehicles, necessities or labor...

Recently, the Ward Mobilization Committee has deployed support for the Fund for the Poor in 2025. At the launching ceremony, the Mobilization Committee received more than 315 million VND. Also at the launching ceremony, the leaders of Dong Ngac Ward presented gifts to 136 households in difficult circumstances in the area, each household received 1 gift and 1 million VND.
