Dak Plo commune currently has 6 schools, including 3 kindergartens and 3 primary and secondary schools. Of which, Dak Man Primary and Secondary School was the most severely damaged after the storm; Soil, rocks and mud flooded into the school yard, disrupting learning for many days. After the flood, teachers, local authorities and local forces mobilized to clean up and sanitize the school and classrooms so that students could return to school soon.
