The City People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 3505/UBND-SXD dated November 3, 2025, assigning the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to instruct environmental sanitation workers to proactively remove and clean up rainwater collection panels during garbage collection along the roads. At the same time, workers are strictly instructed not to sweep trash or leaves to block the rainwater collection doors, reducing the ability to collect water and causing local flooding on the roads.

The City People's Committee also assigned departments, branches, units and localities to review and strengthen dredging and clearing the drainage system, preventing local flooding in the central areas of Da Nang city (old), Tam Ky city (old) and Hoi An city (old).

Accordingly, the People's Committees of Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, Thanh Khe, An Khe, An Hai, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Hoa Khanh, Lien Chieu, Hai Van, Cam Le and Hoa Xuan wards; Tam Ky, Ban Thach and Huong Tra wards; Hoi An, Hoi An Dong and Hoi An Tay wards direct maintenance units to regularly check and dredge water intake gates and canals. At the same time, promptly arrange workers at flooded locations during the rainy season to clear water intake gates and canals on roads under the local management.

Continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to join hands in flood prevention, clear water intakes, promptly remove covers on rainwater intakes in front of houses and nearby areas; absolutely do not sweep garbage or leaves to block water intakes along the road...
