Tomorrow, the storm will continue to move quickly, heading towards the coastal areas of the Central and South Central provinces. From around tomorrow night, the storm is likely to directly affect the area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa .

Due to the influence of the storm, in the central East Sea area (including the sea area north of Truong Sa special zone), strong winds of level 7-8, then increasing to level 9-11, the area near the storm's eye will have strong winds of level 12-14, gusts of level 17, waves 5-7m high, the area near the storm's eye will have waves of 8-10m high.

Coastal areas from Hue to Dak Lak have storm surges of 0.3-0.6m high. From the evening of November 6, coastal areas from Hue to Dak Lak are on guard against rising sea levels accompanied by large waves causing flooding in low-lying areas, waves overflowing dikes, coastal roads, coastal erosion, and slowing down flood drainage in the area.

Due to the influence of the wide storm circulation, it is necessary to guard against the risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.

Urgently evacuate people on boats and aquaculture cages

In response to storm Kalmaegi, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee requested provinces and cities from Ha Tinh to Lam Dong to deploy work to ensure safety for people, vessels, and property, especially for tourist destinations, aquaculture, fishing, and constructions at sea, on islands, and in coastal areas.

Based on the specific situation, decide to ban fishing boats, transport ships, and tourist boats from going to sea, noting that the ban period should be earlier than for previous storms.

For the mainland, organize a review and prepare plans to evacuate households in dangerous areas, especially coastal areas, areas at high risk of landslides, flash floods, low-lying areas, and deep flooding to safety.

There are plans to support temporary accommodation, food, and necessities for evacuated people, ensuring stable lives for people.

Urgently complete tree pruning, bracing, and reinforcing houses. Take measures to ensure safety and limit damage to warehouses, headquarters, public works, industrial parks, factories, power grids, and telecommunications systems.

Localities in the areas most affected by storms and floods should soon have plans and decide to let students stay home from school before the storm makes landfall and after the storm.

Organize traffic flow from a distance, limit people from going out on the streets during storms and heavy rains.

Check and review key works, unfinished works, especially small reservoirs that have been filled with water due to heavy rain in the area recently.

Directing reservoir owners and relevant agencies to urgently operate water discharge to welcome floods according to regulations, especially in the provinces at the center of the storm from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak.

Be ready to operate drainage systems for industrial parks, urban areas, and residential areas, and at the same time inform and guide people to keep their belongings, food, and essential supplies high to cope with storms, floods, and minimize damage.
