On the evening of November 4, Mr. Bui The Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of La Dee commune, said that at the scene, the newly discovered crack had many sections about 1 meter deep, with an open mouth of 30-50 cm, extending for another 100 meters. Local authorities assessed that the area of influence had expanded, threatening more households in the area.
Faced with the above situation, the La De commune government urgently mobilized forces to coordinate with officers and soldiers of the Nam Giang International Border Gate Border Guard Station to mobilize and evacuate people and move assets to a safe place.

“On the afternoon and evening of November 4, we arranged a centralized evacuation point at the Hall of the People’s Committee of Dac Toi Commune (old). At the same time, we prepared necessary supplies for people to take shelter.
Up to now, 17 households have been mobilized to evacuate. However, most of the people chose to stay with relatives in neighboring villages, not going to the commune's gathering point. Some households returned late from farming, and the authorities are still mobilizing them," Mr. Bui The Anh informed.

According to local weather records, there was no rain on the afternoon of November 4, but the soil moisture in the area of the two hills was saturated, making the risk of landslides very high. Authorities are on duty overnight, ready to organize additional evacuations if it rains or if there are signs of new landslides.
