Inspection is not only a process of supervision but also a process of accompanying, training, and practical training for officers and soldiers, contributing to building a strong, comprehensive, exemplary unit that meets the requirements of political tasks in the new revolutionary period. Depending on each time, each locality and practical requirements, the content of comprehensive inspection can be adjusted and supplemented. Inspection teams focus on the main groups of content: Thoroughly grasping and implementing resolutions, directives, and instructions from superiors, organizing political study, legal education, and internal propaganda; Party building work, building mass organizations, ideological situation, ethics, and lifestyle of officers and soldiers; military work, national defense, combat readiness, training, and exercises; managing and protecting borders, sea and island areas, patrolling, controlling, handling violations, and coordinating with functional forces and local authorities to propagate and mobilize the entire population to participate in protecting sovereignty and border security...

Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command said: “The comprehensive inspection is carried out according to scientific and objective methods, combining the inspection of records and documents with practical inspection. The inspection teams always have good officers in each specialized field participating. The inspection process includes the following steps: Developing a plan, announcing the content, composition, and time of the inspection; working directly with the Party Committee and unit commander; checking records, interviewing officers, observing the reality, analyzing results, pointing out advantages, shortcomings, causes, proposing remedial measures, and providing implementation instructions…”.
Through regular inspections and timely correction of existing problems, the units in the Provincial Border Guard have clearly changed. The awareness of officers and soldiers in performing their duties has been raised; violations of discipline have been limited, good models and effective methods have been discovered and replicated. When discipline and order are strengthened, the units are strong, and the people's trust in the Border Guard is increasingly enhanced.
