This is the final stop in the “Jinju Silk Lamp” exhibition series in Southeast Asia under the “Touring K-Arts” cultural exchange project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea to introduce the beauty of Korean art and culture to the world, jointly organized by Korean Cultural Centers abroad and Jinju City with the support of the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).
Nearly 1,300 colorful Jinju silk lanterns create an exhibition space that includes the “Jinju silk lantern light tunnel,” the “Jinju silk lantern light wall,” photo areas with Jinju silk lanterns, and promotion of Jinju City.
During the exhibition, the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam also organized many activities for visitors such as experiencing making Korean lanterns, writing wish trees, etc.
Mr. Choi Seung Jin - Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam said: “The exhibition “Korean Light: Jinju Silk Lamp” has received the attention of many people in the Philippines (May 2025) and Indonesia (August 2025), so I am very proud that the exhibition is taking place in Vietnam. Through the exhibition, I hope people can feel the colors and brilliant beauty of Korea through the Jinju silk lamps, and at the same time see that the Korean Cultural Center is a special cultural exchange space - a place where Vietnamese-Korean cultures interact through the language of light”.
On this occasion, starting from Saturday, November 8, the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam will organize a free “Hanbok Day” program every week (from 9:00 to 17:00). This is an opportunity for people to experience the beauty of traditional Korean costumes with Jinju silk lamps and enjoy memorable moments with relatives and friends in a space full of Korean culture.
