
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Binh Commune Nguyen Van Duc discussed at the working session.
Vinh Binh commune has strengths in agriculture , with key products such as: Ba Dinh pineapple, green-legged shrimp and shrimp rice, and potential products such as golden melon.
The locality expects Kien Giang University to support science and technology, clean production processes, towards a circular, organic, emission-reducing agricultural model, and at the same time provide advice on building OCOP profiles and digital transformation in management and operation.
At the working session, Dr. Nguyen Huu Tho, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Kien Giang University, hoped that the cooperation would not only stop at signing, but also bring specific products and practical models so that people can truly benefit from scientific knowledge and the digital transformation process.

Master Huynh Minh Tri, Deputy Dean in charge of the Faculty of Information and Communication, spoke at the meeting.
The two sides discussed and agreed to implement a cooperation list for the 2025 - 2028 period with four key content groups: Sustainable agricultural development and key product brands; digital transformation in management; software development and technology platforms serving production and trade; training and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in public service and production.
Kien Giang University will implement two major projects on developing brands and processed products from Vinh Binh giant freshwater prawn. The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology is responsible for 26 digital transformation projects and organizing AI and information technology training courses for officials and people.
