


Due to the influence of cold air combined with high altitude easterly winds, from the night of October 29 to the night of November 1, there was heavy rain in Ha Tinh . Particularly, the southern coastal plains had moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain.
Rainfall measured at automatic rain gauge stations from 5:00 p.m. on October 29 to 9:00 p.m. on November 1 was generally from 500mm to 950mm, with some places over 950mm.

Due to the prolonged heavy rain, the reservoirs were operated to discharge water. At 10 p.m. on November 1, Ke Go reservoir discharged water at a flow rate of 500 m 3 / sec; Song Rac reservoir 400 m 3 / sec; Kim Son reservoir 35 m 3 / sec; Da Han reservoir 70 m 3 / sec; Thuong Song Tri reservoir 75 m 3 / sec; Tau Voi reservoir 10 m 3 / sec, Khe Xai reservoir 30 m 3 / sec; Boc Nguyen reservoir 20 m 3 / sec.
Ho Ho Hydropower Plant regulates through spillway with flow rate of 183 m3/second.
To proactively respond to heavy rains, localities have organized evacuations in flooded areas, areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to safe places. Of which, Vung Ang ward has 184 households/484 people; Cam Due commune has 790 households/1,395 people; Cam Binh commune has 154 households/604 people; Huong Do commune has 35 households/40 people; Cam Xuyen commune has 4 households; Dong Tien commune has 3 households/5 people.
To ensure student safety, the education sector has directed 50/676 educational institutions with 36,768 students to stay home from school.

Armed forces arranged 6 boats for Cam Due commune to respond to rain, flood, rescue and relief.
Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade has prepared 1,392 tons of dry food, 331,000 boxes of instant noodles, 11,000 boxes of bottled water, and 8 tons of rice, ready to mobilize to support localities when requested.
Heavy rains have flooded more than 4,620 households, of which more than 3,700 households were flooded in Cam Due and Cam Binh communes - downstream of Ke Go lake. In addition, there are 25 households in Ky Anh commune; 500 households in Vung Ang ward; 34 households in Hoanh Son ward; 3 households in Ky Khang commune; 227 households in Cam Xuyen commune; 25 households in Huong Pho commune; 41 households in Huong Do commune...
Heavy rain also caused flooding and landslides on many local traffic routes such as National Highway 15, National Highway 8C, DT.547, DT.553, DT.554.
