Firefighting and rescue practice at Long Xuyen Medical Center

On the morning of November 1, My Thoi Fire Fighting and Rescue Team coordinated with Long Xuyen Medical Center to organize a fire fighting and rescue drill at the center.

According to the hypothetical situation: Due to carelessness in using a heat source, a fire occurred in the administrative area on the 2nd floor of the center, where there are many flammable substances, such as: Files, documents, fabrics, plastics, electronic equipment, refrigeration, household appliances, wooden tables and chairs...

The fire quickly spread to surrounding areas, creating a lot of smoke and toxic gas that covered the entire center, endangering the lives of doctors, staff and patients present at the center.

Upon discovering the fire, Long Xuyen Medical Center staff pressed the alarm bell, quickly used available fire-fighting equipment and tools to deploy initial fire-fighting plans, and simultaneously called the professional fire department.

Upon receiving the fire alarm, My Thoi Fire Fighting and Rescue Team quickly dispatched 3 fire trucks, 1 rescue vehicle, 1 fire ladder truck, 1 command vehicle and more than 35 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with the center's fire fighting force to deploy the formation, extinguish the fire, spray water to cool down and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding areas, while rescuing the victims still trapped inside and moving property to a safe place.

After 15 minutes of active fire fighting, the fire was completely extinguished.
