Recently, the Vietnam Coast Guard Steering Committee on IUU has always thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented 5 telegrams and announced the conclusions of the Prime Minister at meetings. It has built 2 plans to launch a peak period of fierce and determined struggle, to prevent and put an end to the situation of fishing vessels violating IUU fishing.

The Vietnam Coast Guard regularly maintains 50-60 ships and boats operating at sea, of which 34 ships are tasked with combating IUU fishing.

At the meeting, via the VISAT satellite television system, ships on duty in the field reported the results of anti-IUU fishing activities to the Vietnam Coast Guard Command Center. At the same time, they made recommendations on difficulties and obstacles and proposed measures in performing their duties.

The Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard requested that the Vietnam Coast Guard Steering Committee on IUU will maintain the routine of organizing daily meetings; thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the instructions of leaders at all levels on combating IUU fishing; identify key sea areas to propose effective use of forces; and during the implementation of tasks, organize filming and recording to send to the Command Headquarters in full and timely manner.

The Political Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard continues to coordinate with press agencies to promote the results of the force's implementation of the task of combating IUU fishing.
