Vinh Long puts into use radiotherapy system using accelerator to treat cancer

On the afternoon of October 31, Vinh Long General Hospital held an inauguration ceremony and put into use the linear accelerator radiotherapy system for cancer treatment. Attending the ceremony was Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Be Muoi.

This is an equipment investment project for Vinh Long General Hospital (phase 2) with package 1 including: Linear accelerator radiotherapy machine and CT Scanner simulating radiotherapy with a total value of nearly 104 billion VND.

The investment and operation of the linear accelerator radiotherapy system is a great step forward in the field of cancer treatment in Vinh Long province, meeting the expectations of doctors and people for many years.
