The Congress was attended by Comrade Lai Xuan Lam - Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; and Comrade Vu Huy Hoang - Deputy Secretary of the Government Youth Union.
Representing VietinBank were: Mr. Tran Minh Binh - Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Ly Thanh Thao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, along with 200 outstanding delegates representing over 9,000 union members throughout the system.
Overview of the 5th VietinBank Youth Union Congress
During the period 2022-2025 , the VietinBank Youth Union affirmed its pioneering and innovative role, contributing to the strong growth of the system. The entire Union implemented over 1,046 youth projects and initiatives – many of which were at the central level – effectively contributing directly to business operations, digital transformation, and social welfare. With nearly 50% of its workforce currently represented by its members , the Union is one of the leading groups in applying new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in its operational processes. Movements such as "Creative Youth," "Exemplary Youth," and "Living a Profitable Life" have spread a spirit of innovation, contributing to affirming VietinBank's image as a modern and humane institution. Social welfare activities were extensively implemented by the Youth Union with nearly 1,900 community programs, totaling over 23 billion VND. Programs such as "Soup Kitchen of Compassion," "Winter Volunteer Program," and "Blood Donation" have become trademarks , symbolizing the spirit of dedication, sharing, and sustainable development of VietinBank's youth.
Comrade Tran Minh Binh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank, delivered a speech at the Congress.
Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank, Tran Minh Binh, acknowledged and highly appreciated the dynamic and creative spirit of the union members. The Chairman emphasized that VietinBank union members need to continue to be pioneers in key areas such as digital transformation, green transformation, international integration , and spreading the "customer-centric" culture . Mr. Tran Minh Binh suggested that the Youth Union should identify and nurture young talents, advise on mechanisms for personnel development, and build a team that "dares to think, dares to act, and dares to take responsibility."
VietinBank Youth - Aspiration for Contribution, Innovation, and Unity for Development
Mr. Vu Huy Hoang , Deputy Secretary of the Government Youth Union, commended the outstanding achievements of VietinBank's youth during the past term, especially the completion of 11 out of 11 targets, pioneering in innovation and social welfare. For the 2025-2030 term , the VietinBank Youth Union needs to continue to promote its pioneering role in fulfilling political tasks, building each branch into a "creative incubator," linking youth movements with business tasks, and contributing to VietinBank's sustainable development and regional expansion.
The Executive Committee of the VietinBank Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term was introduced at the Congress.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the VietinBank Youth Union for the fifth term , consisting of 28 members; and elected 8 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the first Congress of the Government Youth Union. Ms. Doan Thi Kieu Huong was re-elected as Secretary of the VietinBank Youth Union; Mr. Duong Nhat Hoang was re-elected as Deputy Secretary of the VietinBank Youth Union for the fifth term.
The 5th VietinBank Youth Union Congress is a significant milestone, demonstrating the belief, will, and aspirations of VietinBank's young generation in a new journey, contributing to building a leading, modern, and efficient multi-functional bank in Vietnam .
