In the digital age, when information is an essential resource, the press can become a pioneer in building and disseminating corporate cultural values ​​to society and the community.

That is the opinion of Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, Editor-in-Chief of Culture Newspaper in the Workshop "Press accompanies building and developing corporate culture in the new era" held on June 5 in Hanoi .

Accompanying and enhancing corporate culture

According to journalist Nguyen Anh Vu, in today's era, the press is considered a companion and promoter of corporate culture. The press, as a special social institution, has the ability to lead public opinion, promote positive values, and has been closely accompanying the business community in many activities.

This is demonstrated through the press reflecting and spreading typical corporate culture models, inspiring and encouraging businesses that do business honestly and are responsible to society; criticizing and warning against wrongdoings and unethical business practices, thereby contributing to purifying the business environment.

The press also contributes to promoting policy dialogue between the State-enterprise-society on issues related to business ethics, administrative procedure reform, improving the investment environment; supporting businesses in building communication strategies, shaping images, brands and core values.

“In the digital age, when information is an essential resource, the press can become a pioneer in building and disseminating corporate cultural values ​​to society and the community,” said Mr. Vu.

Sharing the same view, journalist Nguyen Minh Duc, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, analyzed: “The press plays the role of a bridge between businesses and customers, investors and partners, and is also a channel to convey information about policies, markets and business trends. In return, businesses provide a rich source of information and are the subject of press reflection, while also providing financial support through advertising and media cooperation.”

In the context of fierce competition, businesses are forced to build a professional media culture to proactively provide official information; promptly respond to media crises in the online environment. The press needs to understand the characteristics of businesses, accompany in spreading core values ​​and business ethics, instead of just "investigating and reflecting negativity."

Accordingly, the press and businesses need to cooperate to build a comprehensive digital communication strategy; apply technology to measure communication effectiveness; jointly develop multi-platform content - from print newspapers, online newspapers to TikTok, YouTube, fanpages, and private applications.

“The press plays a role in guiding, verifying, and enhancing the value of corporate culture. In the cooperative relationship between the press and businesses, trust plays a key role, and new approaches are needed to meet the requirements of the new era,” said journalist Nguyen Minh Duc.

Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong said that Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW emphasized that “the private economy is one of the most important driving forces of the national economy,” and emphasized the importance of building a healthy, transparent and sustainable business environment. This is also one of the four important pillars for national development.

Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that the press plays an important role in accompanying the building and development of corporate culture. The press has discovered, criticized, and spread the core values ​​in corporate culture.

The press is not only a bridge but also a communication channel, participating in creating and developing corporate culture. The press helps handle media crises for businesses; connects businesses and their products to people and society. Along with that, the press spreads the image, positive values, and mission in corporate culture; tells stories about the company's products.

“The development of enterprises and corporate culture must be accompanied by the press and vice versa. This relationship is two-way. Thanks to the press, enterprises are strengthened in terms of brand and reputation with partners. At the same time, the press contributes to orienting and communicating the development of corporate culture,” Deputy Minister Ho An Phong stated.

Create a sustainable 'tripod'

At the workshop, in addition to affirming the role of the press in building and developing corporate culture, delegates and experts also pointed out solutions to spread corporate culture through the press.

Journalist Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper, said that press, media and businesses create a "sustainable triangle" in the era of integration.

Therefore, businesses need to proactively cooperate with the press, build a professional media team, provide transparent information and invest in internal communication campaigns. For press agencies, it is necessary to maintain objectivity, humanity, and not provide one-way information; at the same time, promote the role of social criticism in shaping a healthy business culture.

“Enterprises need to seriously invest in cultural communication strategies. Press agencies need to improve the quality of content, especially in the economic-business sector; build a set of corporate communication ethics standards, and train internal communication teams to deeply understand the cultural values ​​of the organization,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi.

From a business perspective, Mr. Le Quoc Vinh, Chairman of Le Media Group, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Corporate Culture Development, said that the press plays an indispensable role in promoting advantages and minimizing challenges for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in this journey through raising awareness, sharing knowledge, promoting positive images and creating dialogue forums.

Close cooperation between the press, SMEs, associations and state management agencies through specific mechanisms and activities will be the key to building a culturally strong SME community, thereby making an important contribution to the overall socio-economic development of Vietnam.

Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, Vice President of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, proposed that in the coming time, it is necessary to build a close cooperative relationship between the press and enterprises to spread more strongly the value of corporate culture; establish a two-way cooperative relationship between the press and enterprises based on trust, transparency and responsibility.

The press needs to innovate its content towards in-depth information, honest reflection, avoiding getting bogged down in purely promotional articles. The forms of expression need to be diverse, attractive, using modern technology to create creative press products, suitable for public tastes in the digital age.

“In the new context, the press needs to continue to innovate, pioneer in spreading ethical values, corporate cultural standards, accompany private enterprises on the path to affirming their position, contributing to bringing Vietnam's economy to the regional and world level,” Mr. Mac Quoc Anh suggested./.
