The ceremony was attended by representatives from Petrovietnam's leadership, the PetroVietnam Power Generation Branch (PVPGB), and the winning coal suppliers.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Ho Cong Ky – Director of PVPGB emphasized: “The signing of this contract today not only demonstrates our determination in preparing fuel sources, but also marks an important step in the series of activities ensuring the safe and efficient commercial operation of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant.”
The parties signed the Coal Procurement Agreement for the operation of the Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant (TNHP) for the period 2025-2026, in the presence of representatives from Petrovietnam, PVPGB, and the contractors.
At the ceremony, PVPGB signed contracts with two consortiums for two large coal supply packages. Specifically, Package GT2025-63.01, for the supply of 1 million tons of coal with a minimum calorific value (NAR) of 5500 kcal/kg, was awarded to the SH Consortium, comprising Century Commodities Solution PTE. LTD. (CCS) – representing the Consortium, HB Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company, and Vietnam Maritime Corporation – JSC ( VIMC ). Package GT2025-63.02, similar in volume but requiring a minimum calorific value (NAR) of 5200 kcal/kg, was also awarded to the SH Consortium, which includes CCS (representing the Consortium), NHT Trading and Investment Development Company Limited, and VIMC.
Mr. Ho Cong Ky – Director of PVPGB – affirmed that the signing marks an important step in the series of activities to ensure the safety and efficiency of commercial operation of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant.
Representing the contractor, Mr. Tran Dinh Thang – Director of VIMC Shipping Company – pledged to make every effort to ensure the progress, quality, and quantity of coal supply as per the contract, contributing to the stable operation and sustainable development of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant.
The contract was signed to ensure a stable and high-quality coal fuel supply for the power generation operations of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant.
The signing ceremony was a great success, with both parties confident in effective cooperation towards a common goal: ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant, and guaranteeing national energy security through thorough and meticulous preparation for key projects in the power sector.
