The program, attended by the Women's Union of 7 districts and cities, and representatives of cooperatives/enterprises managed and operated by women, showcased 24 products that met OCOP standards from 3-4 stars, representing local resources, specialties, and endemic products such as Gia Vien shrimp paste, Yen Son - Tam Diep turmeric starch, Dong Phong guava, Yen Mac fermented pork sausage, Yen Khanh incense sticks, etc.
Using readily available ingredients and produce, the competing teams not only showcased their culinary skills but also presented and arranged dishes that reflected the grandeur of ancient royal cuisine.
The competition was organized to preserve, protect, and promote the unique and sacred traditional culinary culture of the ancient Hoa Lu capital. It honors the skillful hands and creativity of women in preserving the flavors that bear the distinctive mark of the traditional culture of their homeland.
At the same time, it aims to widely promote the culinary essence of the ancient capital region to a large number of people and friends both domestically and internationally, contributing to building Ninh Binh into an attractive and unique destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world .
Using readily available ingredients and produce from each locality, and through skillful and diligent hands, the competing teams not only showcased their talent in preparing, displaying, and arranging dishes that reflected the ancient royal cuisine of Hoa Lu, ensuring they were fragrant, delicious, pure, nutritious, and safe, but also visually appealing and refined. Each meal, each dish, tells a story of life around the hearth, conveying a message that connects the memories of culinary culture past and present, creating dishes that bear the brand of the ancient capital - a land of heritage.
This is a practical activity aimed at creating a healthy and beneficial playground, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of women; and building the modern-day Hoa Lu woman.
At the event, the Organizing Committee awarded the "Culinary Quintessence of the Ancient Capital" Award - the highest prize of the competition - to the Hoa Lu City Women's Union team; two "Distinctive Flavors of the Ancient Capital" Awards to the Women's Unions of Yen Mo and Gia Vien districts; and three "Colorful Culinary Cuisine of the Ancient Capital" Awards to the teams from Kim Son district, Yen Khanh district, and Tam Diep city. The Nho Quan district team won the "Essence of Telling the Tale of the Ancient Capital's Cuisine" Award.
Also during the "Golden Colors - Tam Coc Trang An" Week in 2025, the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union organized a provincial-level sports dance exchange with the theme "Healthy and Beautiful Dances," with the participation of 7/7 teams from the Women's Unions of districts and cities in the province; directed the Hoa Lu City Women's Union to organize a sports dance exchange between folk dance teams in Hoa Lu City; and many other meaningful and practical activities... attracting a large number of members, women, and tourists to participate and experience.
This is a practical activity of the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union and women's associations at all levels in the province in response to the 2025 Tourism Week, and also an opportunity for women's associations at all levels to promote their core role in mobilizing female members and the people to implement the "Building the Modern Ninh Binh Woman" movement.
Through these meaningful activities, we contribute to preserving and maintaining the national cultural identity, demonstrating creativity, pride, and a commitment to working alongside the Party Committee, military, and people of Ninh Binh province to realize the goal of making Ninh Binh a Millennium Heritage City, a creative city, and moving towards a "Dual City" model.
