Naturalized Indonesian stars overwhelm Vietnam team in terms of salary

Many naturalized stars of the Indonesian team receive salaries of tens of billions of dong each year, completely surpassing those of the Vietnamese players.

Statistics from Salary Sport show that most of Indonesia's naturalized players currently receive a salary of around 10 billion VND/year or more.

The most prominent is star goalkeeper Emil Audero, who played for both Juventus and Inter Milan. When at Juventus, Audero was just a young player. Therefore, he received about 500,000 euros/year (equivalent to 14.9 billion VND).

Audero received the highest salary of his career when he played for Sampdoria Club, with a salary of about 1.7 million euros/year, equivalent to 50 billion VND/year.

At Como, Audero's salary was reduced slightly to 1.23 million euros/year, equivalent to 37 billion VND/year. This is only Audero's salary, not including other bonuses and sponsorships.

The second highest in the current Indonesian team is defender Kevin Diks, who is valued at 4.5 million euros on the transfer market by Transfermarkt.

The 28-year-old defender has played four impressive seasons for Danish club Copenhagen, where he earned his highest salary of 990,000 euros per year, equivalent to nearly 30 billion VND per year.

Kevin Diks has reportedly completed his move to German club Monchengladbach. His salary at the new club has not been announced, but German media believe it will be no less than 2 million euros/year (60 billion VND/year).

If so, Diks will surpass Audero to become the highest paid player in the current Indonesian team.

A little less is Calvin Verdonk, who plays for the Dutch club NEC Nijmegen. Verdonk currently receives a salary of 580,000 euros/year, equivalent to 17.3 billion VND.

According to Transfermarkt, Indonesia's highest market value player is currently Mees Hilgers, who plays for Dutch club Twente.

However, Hilgers' salary is quite low, only about 360,000 euros/year, or 10.5 billion VND/year. But Hilgers is only 24 years old, just need to move to a more famous club, Hilgers will increase his income many times.

The remaining stars of the Indonesian team such as Jay Idzes, Thom Haye, Ole Romeny also receive salaries of around 300,000 euros/year (about 9 billion VND).

Meanwhile, the highest paid player in the Vietnam national team, Nguyen Xuan Son, only receives a salary of about 2 billion VND/year, playing for the Nam Dinh Steel Club. If including the signing bonus, Xuan Son's total annual income is estimated to be only about 8 billion VND/year.
