Xuan Son is gradually regaining his form after a long period of injury. In the away match against Shan United in the Southeast Asian Champions League on the evening of December 4th, the striker born in 1997 was included in the starting lineup by Nam Dinh FC.

In return for coach Mauro Jeronimo's trust, Xuan Son scored a hat-trick, helping Nam Dinh FC secure a 3-0 victory against the representative from Myanmar.
Witnessing Xuan Son's brilliant performance, Makan Bola commented: "Xuan Son made a significant contribution by scoring 3 goals to help Nam Dinh FC defeat Shan United at Thuwunna Stadium. After successfully converting a penalty in the first half, he scored two more goals in the second half."
With this outstanding performance, Xuan Son received the Man of the Match award. Xuan Son is gradually regaining his goal-scoring form after recovering from a serious injury he sustained in early 2025. Prior to this, he also scored a goal on his return to the Vietnamese national team against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Harimau Malaya wrote: “Xuan Son was the standout player yesterday at the Southeast Asian Champions League, contributing a hat-trick to help Nam Dinh FC win 3-0 against Shan United in Yangon. The Brazilian-born player is making a strong impression after returning from a serious injury sustained at the 2024 AFF Cup.”
The Southeast Asian Football Federation's homepage also praised Xuan Son: "The Brazilian-born striker impressed in his very first appearance in this season's Southeast Asian Champions League."

Xuan Son scored a hat-trick to help Nam Dinh FC defeat Shan United 3-0. Despite only recently returning after 10 months recovering from a broken leg sustained in the second leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final against Thailand on January 5th, the 1997-born striker has quickly found his rhythm again.
Speaking after the match against Shan United, Xuan Son said: “I am very happy to be back with Nam Dinh Club. It was great that I scored and the team won. I am eagerly awaiting the next matches.”
Following their victory against Myanmar FC, Nam Dinh FC is currently second in Group B with 6 points, one point behind the leading team, Johor Darul Ta'zim.
