Malaysian newspaper commented when Xuan Son scored an impressive hat-trick

The Brazilian-born player is making a strong impression after returning from a serious injury suffered at the AFF Cup 2024.”

The Southeast Asian Football Federation's homepage also praised Xuan Son: "The Brazilian striker made an impression in his first appearance in the Southeast Asian Cup C1 this season.

Xuan Son scored a hat-trick to help Nam Dinh FC defeat Shan United 3-0. Although he just returned after 10 months of injury when he broke his leg in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final against Thailand on January 5, the striker born in 1997 has caught up quite quickly.

Speaking after the match with Shan United, Xuan Son said: “I am very happy to be back with Nam Dinh Club. It was great when I scored and the team won. I am eagerly waiting for the next matches.”

After the victory over Myanmar Club, Nam Dinh Club is ranked second in Group B with 6 points, 1 point behind the leading team Johor Darul Ta'zim.
