Art program to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Hon Khoai Uprising and the Revolutionary Tradition Day of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province.
The meeting aimed to review the revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau; the solidarity, attachment and affection between the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province and Ninh Binh province in the struggle for national liberation, national unification and building and defending the Fatherland. Thereby, educating revolutionary ideals, patriotic traditions, pride and solidarity of cadres, party members, soldiers, civil servants, public employees and all classes of people of the two provinces in the new era.
85 years ago, under the guidance of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Party organizations and revolutionary mass movements in Ca Mau were formed and developed strongly, opening a new page in the history of the revolutionary movement in the province. In particular, the Hon Khoai Uprising in 1940 will forever be a shining symbol of courage, patriotism and the desire for national independence.
The uprising led by comrade Phan Ngoc Hien took place on the night of December 13, 1940, with profound significance, marking a great step forward in terms of politics, ideology and organization of the Party Committee of Bac Lieu province (now Ca Mau). The resounding victory of the uprising was thanks to careful preparation, along with the proactive, flexible spirit and courage of the revolutionary soldiers.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai spoke at the meeting.
Speaking to review the revolutionary tradition, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai affirmed: Despite being brutally suppressed by the enemy, the Hon Khoai Uprising and the name of hero and martyr Phan Ngoc Hien and his soldiers have gone down in history, becoming an immortal source of pride. Over the past 85 years, generations of cadres, party members, soldiers and people of Ca Mau have continued to write heroic history, steadfastly moving forward with the whole country to successfully carry out the cause of national renewal, achieving many great achievements of historical stature.
Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Le Van Kiem, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, affirmed: The Hon Khoai Uprising on December 13, 1940 was the most brilliant milestone in the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province, not only demonstrating the indomitable spirit of the people in the southernmost part of the Fatherland, but also proving the aspiration for independence and freedom of the nation. Thereby, expressing pride and urging today's young generation to follow in the footsteps of previous generations to continue writing the heroic and glorious history of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province.
Promoting the glorious 85-year revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of the province, union member Vo Kim Tho, representing the youth of Ca Mau province, vows to continue writing the heroic history pages of the homeland; determined to train political mettle, ethics, knowledge and skills; steadfast in revolutionary ideals and wholeheartedly follow the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and our people; living with ideals and aspirations to contribute; constantly united, creative, courageous and pioneering, together with the homeland of Ca Mau, confidently entering a new era, an era of prosperous development of the Vietnamese nation.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Hon Khoai Uprising and the Revolutionary Tradition Day of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province, Ca Mau province and Ninh Binh province held a ceremony to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the twinning between the two provinces.
On behalf of the leaders of Ca Mau province, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Lam Van Bi respectfully thanked Ninh Binh province for its attention, companionship and sharing; thanked generations of cadres and children of Ninh Binh province for their attachment and important contributions to the development of Ca Mau over the past 65 years. Thereby, hoping that the close relationship and deep affection between Ca Mau and Ninh Binh will continue to be strengthened, becoming a source of strength and motivation for the Party Committees, authorities and people of the two provinces to join hands and unite to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

Since the twinning event during the fierce war years, the Party Committee, army and people of the two provinces of Ca Mau - Ninh Binh have been united by steadfast and loyal affection, demonstrated through the sincere care and protection of Ninh Binh for the children of Ca Mau who had gathered in the North and through the fighting achievements that the army and people of Ca Mau established thanks to the trust and encouragement from the great rear in the North. The spirit of "All for the South" and the sentiment of "The North calls, the South answers" have become symbols of the close relationship between the two provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung reviewed the tradition of 65 years of Ca Mau - Ninh Binh twinning: 65 years ago, implementing the policy of the Party Central Committee and the great President Ho Chi Minh, on January 23, 1960, the Provincial Party Committee - Administrative Committee of Ninh Binh province organized the Ninh Binh - Bac Lieu twinning (now Ca Mau province) and launched exciting patriotic emulation movements, encouraging and motivating the entire population to enthusiastically participate in developing agriculture, distribution and circulation industry to contribute to the revolution in the South. This important political event is likened to a red thread connecting the comradeship, brotherhood of sharing joys and sorrows, sharing joys and sorrows between the Party Committees, governments and people of the two provinces.
