On December 8, in An Giang province, the Border Guard Academy coordinated with the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command to organize a seminar on the topic "Improving the quality of mobilizing ethnic minorities to participate in protecting the national border of the border guards in the new situation".

At the seminar, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command and representatives of agencies and units exchanged and provided important information on the situation of mobilizing ethnic minorities; leadership, direction, and role of the border guard force; and staff work and coordination of implementation of units.

At the same time, clarify the role of ethnic minorities in the cause of participating in protecting national borders; experience in building models and programs for socio-economic development in border areas.

Delegates also pointed out difficulties, obstacles, and factors affecting the situation in practice, forecasted the related situation, and proposed many solutions and recommendations to continue improving the quality of mobilizing ethnic minorities to participate in protecting the national border in the coming time.
