Speaking after inspecting the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) on December 7th, Minister Atthakorn confirmed that the facility was fully prepared and equipped with modern infrastructure. He noted that Thailand would broadcast more sports than any previous SEA Games – over 31 sports – and that foreign media were very pleased with the convenience, technology, and professional coordination provided at the IBC. He added that the IBC could serve as a new benchmark for future host countries, reflecting Thailand's progress in many areas.
Regarding the opening ceremony, the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports stated that the program will feature unique performances and technical elements specifically designed for this year's Games. The ceremony will bring together actors, singers, and athletes – past, present, and rising stars who have brought pride to Thailand – promising a memorable treat for sports fans.
Regarding the message that Thailand hopes to send to ASEAN through the opening ceremony, Mr. Atthakorn said that the ceremony will showcase the happiness, readiness, and central geographical role of Thailand.
