According to Agoda, searches made from September to November for stays during December 2025 and January 2026 show a 30% year-on-year increase in family travel interest to Vietnam. The rising demand underscores the country's growing reputation as a safe, engaging, and multi-generational destination.
Within Vietnam, Hanoi ranks among the top five family-friendly destinations. Agoda's latest report highlights the capital as a key draw in the north, attracting families with its historic sites, museum offerings, and festive street scenes that come alive at the end of the year.
Other destinations are also seeing notable growth. Phu Quoc Island leads with a 47% rise in international family searches, driven by its beaches, calm waters, and nature parks suited for travelers of all ages. Da Nang follows with a 42% increase, supported by its coastal appeal and proximity to attractions such as the Ba Na Hills theme park. Nha Trang remains a strong contender in third place, known for its long coastline and family-oriented resorts, while Ho Chi Minh City takes fourth, buoyed by its food culture, entertainment centers, and access to the Mekong Delta.

Strong momentum is also coming from overseas markets. The travel website also reports that South Korean families remain the largest source of interest for travel to Vietnam during the festive season. Families from India, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia complete the top five. Indian families in particular are showing surging interest, with searches up 186%, while Malaysian families recorded a 74% increase.
Agoda Country Director Vu Ngoc Lam said the figures reflect Vietnam's rising profile among travelers global. “The data shows that travelers are reducing Vietnam's family-friendly appeal, which further strengthens its position on the global travel map,” he noted.
As the festive season approaches, Vietnam- and Hanoi in particular- appears set to welcome a growing number of families seeking cultural exploration, outdoor activities and year-end celebrations.
