The program surveyed the actual conditions at community tourism sites in Quang Tri province to assess the potential, opportunities, challenges and propose appropriate solutions to build a sustainable community tourism development program associated with new rural development suitable to the local situation.

The delegation continued to Rum Ho village, a small village about 75km southwest of Dong Hoi city center, where the beauty of sustainable tourism is associated with forest protection. The delegation of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration led by Deputy Director Pham Van Thuy met and worked with Son homestay - the first homestay tourism model built in Rum Ho village. Ho Thi Son and her husband built it with the support of Helvetas Vietnam Organization, Netin Company Limited and villagers. According to Son, since the tourism projects were launched, the people here have received support from organizations and businesses, opening up the potential for sustainable tourism development, protecting forest resources and promoting the cultural identity of the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic group. Coming here, visitors will be able to participate in adventure tourism activities, ziplining, crossing Duong Cam waterfall, Cong Troi waterfall, or camping overnight in the forest.
The delegation also visited and worked at Chenh Venh Community Tourism Village. This is an attractive destination for those who love nature; culture and want to experience responsible tourism. Chenh Venh - where mountains and forests meet; culture flourishes; and people live in close connection with nature. The people living here shared that visitors coming here will have the opportunity to explore the majestic natural beauty and experience the traditional culture of the Van Kieu people, from traditional stilt houses to dishes rich in identity. Every evening, there will be an art troupe of Van Kieu people performing traditional arts such as love songs combined with gongs.

Continue the journey at Ta Puong cave-waterfall cluster. Located about 120km from the center of Dong Ha, Ta Puong waterfall is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Quang Tri province, especially in the summer. Coming here, in addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery and swimming, visitors can participate in some physical activities such as SUP rowing, bamboo boat rowing, trekking, mountain climbing... or visit Ta Puong cave not far away.
Within the framework of the program, on December 9, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will organize a workshop on sustainable community tourism development in Quang Tri. This is an important forum to assess the current situation, share experiences, identify potentials and challenges, and propose solutions and development models suitable for the locality.
The community tourism survey program in Quang Tri not only aims to assess the potential and orientation for developing specific local tourism products, but also demonstrates the commitment of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in accompanying and supporting Quang Tri in developing sustainable tourism, preserving and promoting indigenous cultural values, and contributing to improving people's lives through tourism activities.
Through the program, experts, managers and tourism businesses have a basis to comprehensively recognize the potential of Quang Tri in developing community tourism, especially in types such as eco-tourism, experience, culture - history and nostalgic tourism of old battlefields.
With the support of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the active participation of local authorities, businesses and communities, Quang Tri community tourism is expected to gradually affirm its position, becoming a new bright spot in the North Central region, thereby spreading the image of a Quang Tri rich in identity, friendly and attractive to domestic and international tourists.
